I've just received this: /etc/cron.weekly/0anacron: anacron: Cannot run - another anacron process is already running.: Resource deadlock avoided Yesterday I had a similar one for cron.daily/0anacron: I suspect that both of these happened while running updates - the laptop in question is slow. Could that be the cause? Does anyone know how soon after bootup anacron starts its work? Should I expect it to be a lengthy process on a slow box? Anne
