https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=203278 is the bug where I have been recording various bits of information. There seem to be two definite trends: Everything works better in usb 1.1 ports. On the exact same hardware, the Fedora Core 6 test 2 boot works better than the Fedora Core 5 boot (but core 6 seems to have a separate problems related to power management).
