1. when calling glxinfo, getting the error message:
name of display: :0.0

Error: couldn't find RGB GLX visual

2. Additionally, glxgears does not run:

Error: couldn't get an RGB, Double-buffered visual
3. On the other hand, looking at /var/log/Xorg.0.log:
(II) LoadModule: "glx"
(II) Loading /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so
(II) Module glx: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
compiled for 7.0.0, module version = 1.0.0
ABI class: X.Org Server Extension, version 0.2
4. rpm -qa '*mesa*'
mesa-libGL-devel-6.4.2-6.FC5.3
mesa-libGL-6.4.2-6.FC5.3
mesa-libGL-6.4.2-6.FC5.3
mesa-libGLU-6.4.2-6.FC5.3
mesa-libGLU-6.4.2-6.FC5.3
This all happened after I installed the NVIDIA driver (from nvidia.com)
for my nvidia video card and after I cancelled this installation.
What I'm doing wrong? Any help appreciated.
