Hello,

I'm running a freshly installed version of FC5. I would like to make this
server a Primary Openldap directory and later add a slave. I an very green
with Openldap and could use some advice from the guru's :)

1.I have compiled Berkeley DB 4.4 and openldap 2.3.25. Both with the
default configuration options. Both compiled w/o a problem.

2.I edited the sldap.conf file and started Openldap w/o a problem.

I don't really know where to go from here. slapadd errors out on me but
I'm probably not runnning it right. My question is:

Do I need to setup a database in BDB or is there a ldap command which will
do it for me?

If someone could give me a high level of steps to be taking when configuring
Openldap with BDB I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you in advance,
Chris

You are aware of that openldap is available from core? You do not need
to compile it you self.
