I really don't believe that he needs to have a system onhand to reproduce the problem. I had a serial console setup, he could have provided whatever debug code needed to debug it further. We're talking open source code here, so its not like he couldn't have worked with me for a solution. If he didn't have the time, he should have just said so. I could accept that.
