it's part of yum's "installonlyn" plugin.
cat /etc/yum/pluginconf.d/installonlyn.conf

tokeep = 4
enabled = 1
i.e. keep 4 previous kernels around. :)
Thanks.
My enabled = 0 is now a 1, and tokeep was already at 5.
Does this effect stuffs other than the kernel now with enabled = 1?
nope
$ head -n 2 /usr/lib/yum-plugins/installonlyn.py
# A plugin for yum which only leaves n 'kernel' packages installed
instead
# of infinitely doing installonly
Humm, if its kernel only, it sounds like I need to study up on python
and make it do the kmod-* stuffs the same way. I need to find a round tuit.
