I've done this before and used gcdmaster to mark the gaps in the wav file I recorded for each side of the vinyl I was converting. It worked out fairly well. I've also gone from vinyl to mp3 (::cough:: I mean ogg, heave forfend I'd ignore the mp3 patent). For that I didn't have any need to create a CD so I used a wav editor to split the files and then I wrote a little perl script that would use a cddb file to convert, tag, and rename the wav files to mpg^H^H^Hogg. I've read about some other programs that can help automate this, but haven't used any of them (and don't have links handy). Here's one that's linked from linux-sound.org: http://www.stlouis-shopper.com/~jtjsoftware/software.html Google will probably turn up some others. - -- Todd OpenPGP -> KeyID: 0xD654075A | URL: www.pobox.com/~tmz/pgp ====================================================================== Always do right -- this will gratify some and astonish the rest. -- Mark Twain (1835-1910) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.3 (GNU/Linux) Comment: When crypto is outlawed bayl bhgynjf jvyy unir cevinpl. iG0EARECAC0FAkSeszgmGGh0dHA6Ly93d3cucG9ib3guY29tL350bXovcGdwL3Rt ei5hc2MACgkQuv+09NZUB1oZwgCeN3TX2iHNcYPtIuYgLOC+u4Bjsb8An09ZI76A 7pxkEwErJTwfAtbzYhOi =s0rk -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
