Hmm. I am new to SATA interface, and this is the only URL I found with
Fedora and HCL in it it -;)

How many drives do you need?  What is your budget?
2 drive. Full mirror. cheapest. I don't want software RAID though.

The cheapest HW (IDE) raid is about $105-110 on newegg for a 7006-2.
For SATA, not sure.

Why don't you want SW raid? I find it more reliable than using a 7006-2, which I bought btw..
