I did say in my post that the F/OSS community's undoing will be allowing itself to be dragged into the mud, arguing like this with people from the proprietary world. I also said we have to be careful. I don't suggest ignoring the ones that wish F/OSS death, but I do suggest never letting them get under your (i.e. the community's) skin. If that happens, it's all over. F/OSS is great. The people that hate it can sit and simmer while everyone else has fun and feels good. I say be happy, stay positive, and keep contributing.
