I upgraded a Sony Picturebook (C1VFK), which would not read the CD,
in this way.
In principle this is very easy -
just download fedora-release-5-5.noarch.rpm and install (with rpm)
and then run "yum upgrade" (assuming you have internet connection)
This worked in my case, but took over 14 hours IIRC -
about 3 hours to download the rpm's,
and the rest to run the transaction.
