You are confused.  Yum is using a mirror site, probably a randomly chosen
one, different each time yum is run.  Mirrors don't update instantly.  Some
mirrors check fairly often, some only check once a day, and a few never
update at all.  The mirror you used was not up-to-date.  Try again before
posting.  See my posts about "yum mirrors not in sync".
