Certainly they should. Something has gone badly wrong here.

Fortunately the problem was mentioned in several threads and with
several different perceptions of the problem. I had no trouble upgrading
a non networked computer after the morning mail read.
Today gets the free superstitious use of the 6th day of the 6th month of
