In theory it is, but if you compare the updates in legacy for FC1
I think you'll find it is not even close to matching what
you'd see for Centos 3.x and FC3's doesn't match Centos 4.x
although the starting software should have had approximately
the same bugs. If you plan to keep an installation for a long
time, fedora is probably the wrong place to start. But right
now FC4 is a bit ahead in app versions than you'd get with
RHEL or Centos.
