The ole RedHat Package 'Mangler' (Manager) does just that, pretty much.
Now it's tied to yum, which is tied to rpm, and as long as the database
doesn't barf on your shoes, or an unsigned package pops up or (fillin
the blank ______ ) it could do and sometimes does the job. It's a step
in the right direction. I still go for "Install Everything" :) Ric
