Axel Thimm's advice seems good, as usual.

You are then in runlevel 3 with X.  You can take a look at what more
services are started in runlevel 5, with "/sbin/chkconfig --list".  On my
system, they are just atalk, cups, and readahead.  (You won't have atalk.)
