I am using gutenprint on both my FC4 and FC5 machines.
It works well, but does require that the printers using it be configured
in the cups interface and not with system-config-printer.

I installed it because I have an Epson Photo-Stylus R300 printer and I
wanted to use the CD printing tray, which works very nicely.

Gutenprint is only available for download and compile yourself though
(or at least that was still the case when I did the install on FC5).
