screen video capture utility?

Last year, using x86_64 and FC4, I was able to use gvidcap to perform simple screen video captures to file. (I know something similar can be done with vnc and flash, but there isn't an x86_64 flash player, right?)

Has anyone been able to use xvidcap/gvidcap with an x86_64 FC5 platform?

When trying to install a prebuilt package that worked on FC4, I get:

error: Failed dependencies:
       libavcodec.so()(64bit) is needed by gvidcap-1.1.3-1.x86_64
       libavformat.so()(64bit) is needed by gvidcap-1.1.3-1.x86_64

So I tried building gvidcap from a .src.rpm but got lots of errors when compiling xtoffmpeg.c.

Does anyone do screen video capture to a file?

Thanks.
