Dear all,
when I installed FC4 I made quite a mistake. I have 2 disks, one is old,
and slow (hda), the other (hdb) is new, fast, and big.
I had to remove the first disk, but I did not, so now the system is
quite slow everytime it accesses the first disk (which means continuously).
My situation is now:
---------------------------------------
Disk /dev/hda: 10.0 GB, 10005037056 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 1216 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/hda2 14 1216 9663097+ 8e Linux LVM
Disk /dev/hdb: 81.9 GB, 81964302336 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 9964 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hdb1 * 1 9964 80035798+ 8e Linux LVM
--------------------------------------------------------
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
15G 9.8G 3.7G 73% /
/dev/hda1 99M 28M 66M 30% /boot
/dev/shm 110M 0 110M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol02
69G 1.6G 64G 3% /home
--------------------------------------------------------
Now the question: is there a way to move everything from hda to hdb?
If it is too complicated, I will switch to FC5...
Thanks for your help
