Oops - yes, I should have mentioned that - I use Gnome. And the results
are:

# which gdm
/usr/sbin/gdm
# which kdm
/usr/bin/which: no kdm in
(/usr/java/jre1.5.0_06/bin:/usr/kerberos/sbin:/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/java/jre1.5.0_06/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/root/bin)
