The pop-up use to have a checkbox to save session.  A feature I really
liked.  It would restore my current session (including my galeon
session) the next time I startx.

The checkbox is gone.  Now everytime I startx I get the desktop session
I logged out of when I went to do the upgrade to core 5.

Click on the System Menu, Preferences, More Preferences, Sessions.  This is where I setup my FC5 to save the desktop session everytime I log out.  When I log back in everything is were it was when I logged out.
