The motherboard has one RJ45 network interface. As far as I know it is an
either/or as far as which interface you have (1GB or 100MB). I just downloaded
FC 4 Friday from one of the mirrors that the Fedora website has listed and the
kernel is the 2.6.11-1.1369 kernel. Where can I get the iso's fpr the 2.6.16
kernel?
Thanks

Anybody know where to find network drivers for the D945GNT Intel
Motherboard? I have tried installing both Fedora Core 3 and Fedora
Core 4 and I can't get the network interface to work with either one.
I have checked for drivers on Intels website but the only Red Hat
drivers there are RHEL 3, 4 and 4 update_1. None of which work with
the kernel that Core 3 & 4 use.
I'd be shocked if it didn't work with the current fc4 kernel 2.6.16, the
one on either of the installers you talked about is rather old... Also
doesn't that motherboard have a 10/100 port as well on an
82562GX/82562GZ PLC device?
I have a machine with two: 82573V which appears to run fc5 fine
(supermicro pdsmi). you're just on the bleeding edge of chipset support
here.
The network interface will work if I put WinXP on it so I'm thinking
it has to be a driver issue. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks
