I was using kernel 2.6.16_1.2080 so I installed kmod-fglrx-8.23.7-4.2.6.16_1.2080_FC5.i686.rpm With yum. You really should be using the livna drivers anyhow, IF you are going to be using one of the default kernels and not a custom kernel. They are already tested and generally known to work.
