I can tell you that yum or kyum will install the ati drivers from livna
and they work perfectly, at least on the test system I was working with,
which was a brand new assembly right out of the boxes.

I was using kernel 2.6.16_1.2080 so I installed

 kmod-fglrx-8.23.7-4.2.6.16_1.2080_FC5.i686.rpm 

With yum.

You really should be using the livna drivers anyhow, IF you are going to
be using one of the default kernels and not a custom kernel.  They are
already tested and generally known to work.  For other reasons why I
