Firstly, check /var/lib/rpm to see if you have the rest of the RPM files. If not, then you're best off reinstalling. On my (x86-64) system: [james@kendrick rpm]$ ls -l total 106060 -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 10846208 Apr 12 19:07 Basenames -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 12288 Apr 11 12:27 Conflictname -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Apr 12 19:03 __db.000 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 24576 Apr 12 18:59 __db.001 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1318912 Apr 12 18:59 __db.002 -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 663552 Apr 12 18:59 __db.003 -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 8757248 Apr 12 19:07 Dirnames -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 10625024 Apr 12 19:07 Filemd5s -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 32768 Apr 12 19:07 Group -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 36864 Apr 12 19:07 Installtid -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 86016 Apr 12 19:07 Name -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 77922304 Apr 12 19:07 Packages -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 663552 Apr 12 19:07 Providename -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 192512 Apr 12 19:07 Provideversion -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 12288 Aug 19 2005 Pubkeys -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 770048 Apr 12 19:07 Requirename -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 356352 Apr 12 19:07 Requireversion -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 172032 Apr 12 19:07 Sha1header -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 151552 Apr 12 19:07 Sigmd5 -rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 12288 Apr 12 19:07 Triggername Don't expect the __db files to necessarily be there. I'd boot using the rescue CD (which should have RPM on it), and try installing the RPM rpm that way. You may need to use the --relocate and the --badreloc flags. Good luck!
