Hi all,

The fglrx module from livna testing for my ATI 850 XL video card, returns nothing, but a warning of no signal followed by a black screen.
It is not even possible to get to the console.
I have to restart using the DVD and use 'linux rescue' to restore the xorg.conf to its original state.

I also tried starting up from inittab in level 3 and using startx. This also renders the screen unusable (a warning of no signal followed by a black screen). All interaction from there on is untraceable (including console). I have to restart the machine again .....

Also, /var/log/Xorg.0.log leaves no trace....... I am running a FC5.x86_64.

Anyone have a idea how to tackle this?

Guus.

I've heard of issues with the x86_64 ATI driver. Look through the bugs at http://bugzilla.livna.org .
