What kind of hub/switch are you connecting to? Make sure it is set to auto negotiate or that you have locked it down to the same speed and duplex settings. How are you pinging the other systems? Using the IP address or a name? If you are using a name, are the names in the /etc/hosts file or are they in a local DNS? What are the results of pinging using an IP address? Would also help if you posted the output of the following commands: netstat -rn /sbin/ifconfig
