I've got FC-5-i386-DVD.iso after the same method as you; bittorrent, and can verify it by the following hash key.

>ed9a852cf77250c3ae111c621d350af5c0b0a29b  FC-5-i386-DVD.iso

>i've downloaded the FC-5-i386-DVD.iso from bittorrent and a local ftp mirror and i'm getting images for which the sha1 checksum differs from the one that's 
included in the SHA1SUM file (received from bittorrent).
