Quick Question: How can I get to know which file system is currently running on a partition?

If it's mounted, just do a 'mount'. If it' s not, other than fdisk, I don't know.

Umm, fdisk reports partition type, not file system. There may
not even be a file system in the partition, let alone one
that matches the partition type.

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
