Looks at a glance like your drive has died. Given the low cost of hardware these days, your best bet is probably to simply replace it. My dvd drive recently gave up the ghost after only 15 only months, replacement cost €49. I know, it isn't environmentally friendly but what can you do?... -- Colin Brace Amsterdam
