If you want to then save them on the remote end, you should manually move them to a directory not in the rsync path, or not use the --delete option. -- Cheers, Gene People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word 'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's stupid bounce rules.
