I did check cron and the only thing that is running every five minutes is mrtg. I disabled that, and the messages kept coming. I don't know if postgres is actually running anything, or if whatever this is is just using that account. I have postgres installed, but it is not running. I'm thinking I need to find a way of making a snapshot of the running processes right when this thing executes. Anyone in the list have a good understanding of how to manage view running processes?
