I certainly don't. I have WD, Seagate, Maxtor that I can think
of right off the top of my head.

Cable Select, and another brand works better with Master/Slave...

Connor used to be notorious for not working as slave with other
brands of drives. But that was long ago.

When mixing brands, or mixing types of drives, I have not run into
any firm rules. (I know, it is better not to mix brands/drive types,
but sometimes you do not have a choice.) Things can get interesting
when you only have 2 IDE channels, and you have a DVD, CD, hard
drive, and an IDE floppy or tape drive in the same machine.

I suppose you mean ATA.

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
