Hi,
I have a friend that is using a box I setup for him several years ago with RedHat 7.2. I think he would really like FC and would like to send him a hard drive with already installed, as he is not an OS/Hardware guy.
Is it possible for me to install an IDE drive in my machine ( Pentium 486 D )
Didn't Intel call the "586" processor family "Pentium" because they
couldn't trademark numbers?
That's my understanding. But AMD produced a processor called
the 586, which is a 486 class processor.
(my point being how can a "Pentium" also be "486"?)
AIUI, it cannot.

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
I speak only for myself, and I am unanimous in that!
