Hi ,
Iam try to use minicom as simple com-port, it is connected to embedded
system board via RS 232 cable.
in minicom ->serial port setup i have set as
ttyS3,
baud rate 57600 8n1 which in acordance with embedded system.
Are you sure you are using com4 on your PC? I would think com1 or 2
would be the onboard ports. /dev/ttyS0 or /dev/ttyS1.
At the minicom screen try an atz first to reset the modem. If you have
the right port you should get back an OK.
He said he had a direct cable connection to an embedded device.
Why would he expect "OK", as from a modem?

You have found the bank of Larn.
I can explain it for you, but I can't understand it for you.
