Powersave daemon and KPowersave packages available for FC4

JFYI,

I'm glad to announce that I just finished building the first
Powersave[1][2] and KPowersave[2][3] packages for Fedora Core 4 in hope to
make some laptop users happy ;-)

Look for Powersave version 0.11.2 and kpowersave 0.5.3 when downoading
from https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=124576 .

There are some requirements, though:

1. In order to get them working properly, you need to have dbus > 0.50 and
hal > 0.5.4. Both can be installed from
   http://gnome-power.sourceforge.net/data/utopia.repo .
2. You need a running acpid.

I was only able to build powersave-0.11.2 because of missing cpufreq-utils
0.4 package on Fedora Core 4 without updating my glibc. But KPowersave is
up to date.

Unfortunatelly, there is no gnome applet available. But kpowersave should
work perfectly under gnome, too.

I'm relatively new to the Fedora project, so please excuse any mistakes
which are specific to the fedora core distribution. Best would be to tell
me ;-)
Additionally, is there any other list this announcement should be posted
to?

Please report all issues (no matter what) on
powersave-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or drop me a mail.

Regards,
	Holger
