I just wrote a very small howto on using an ATI Radeon X600 + Dell
1905FP Digital with Fedore Core 4, for who might be interested.
Connect the analog input of the monitor with the a/d converter shipped
by Dell.
Install FC4
Reboot
At firstboot applet select the correct monitor (Dell 1905FP Digital) and
resolution (1280x1024)
(you might want to do a yum update now, then reboot with the new kernel)
on a non graphic terminal run:
rpm -ivh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release4.rpm
yum install kernel-module-fglrx-$(uname -r)
(note that X now could crash)
reboot without the converter, just plugging the digital input on the
video card.
