There was a post on here a few days ago (and I've searched the archives for it and can't find it about the steps needed to convert a tarball to an RPM (or SRPM). Can someone point me to the archive or get me moving in the right direction?
The detailed way:
http://fedora.redhat.com/participate/developers-guide/ch-rpm-building.html
http://www.rpm.org/RPM-HOWTO/build.html

I know the detailed way, but the notes I saw were a little more distilled.
I dont know about those.
But If you're talking about a tool blindly doing the work for you, I
dont think it would be a good idea to use them...
NOt so much doing the work for me as starting me off a little further down the ladder.
