Just to give you more info, the last line during the boot is:
Uncompressing Kernel... Ok... Booting Kernel...
After that, nothing ever happens.
The machine boots non-SMP kernels just fine (and like lightning)
every time.
Thanks...

Hi all...
Has anyone gotten an SMP kernel to work with a Pentium-D (Dual Core)
processor?
It should work - in theory - but I haven't been able to get very far
with any of the kernels I have tried.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks...
Jamie
In general it should work out of the box.
What seems to be the problem?
Kernel OOPs?
