The standard DOS partition table format doesn't work for 
partitions over 2TB. You need to use the new GPT partition table 
format: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GUID_Partition_Table
You should use the parted program to set up the partitions (have 
a look at the sfdisk manpage).
