.... forgot to mention.. The rpms exist on the servers that yum checks... For instance, my favorite mirror, kernel.org, has:

http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/core/3/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/libraw1394-0.10.1-3.i386.rpm
and
http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/core/3/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/libraw1394-devel-0.10.1-3.i386.rpm

You could just do an:
rpm -ivh http://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/core/3/i386/os/Fedora/RPMS/libraw1394-0.10.1-3.i386.rpm

to install it...
