yum?  Although "uname -r" shows that FC3 is only up to 2.6.12-1.1381_FC3.

mkinitrd?  Just a guess.

make oldconfig?  Another guess.  That will ask any new questions.

Did you follow the procedures in the FC3 Release Notes and the Kernel README?
