FC3/FC4 on 64-bit laptops

Anyone have a list of ia64 and x86_64 laptops that are known to
run FC3 or FC4 without major issues (or, if possible, without any
issues at all)?

Any general rules of thumb on which machines/devices/chipsets to
avoid?
