This is a problem I had as well, not just with Fedora but other Linux Distros as well. I believe it is to do with the fact you are using (I assume) a PS/2 mouse. The cheapo belkin will loose connectivity for a second with the machine and because PS/2 isn't supposed to be plugged in while a machine is on, it goes haywire. I haven't seem the problem occur with USB switches as USB is hot pluggable and seems to work fine. Anyway, I have never been able to find a fix that worked for me and as I am just switching between two machines I just plugged in a second mouse. Belkin KVM switches just don't work well with RHEL/Fedora and haven't for a long time.
