Thanks for your help! >Doug > I have a Belkin OmniView PRO 8-port and I have fixed my issue by adding the following to the grub kernel line: psmouse.proto=bare This solved the bouncing, mysterious mouse jumping all over the place problem for me but your problem may be different than for me.
