Are you using DHCP? the router is providing the IP automaticaly?
Check in windows if you have set the ip manually.
Check in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 what configuration appears there, or even if there is a file with that name.
If there isn't any file, sure is your linux is not recognising your nic.

Good luck.

Dear All

Something is playing magic with my computer: I cannot access to the
Internet with Linux, although I can connect to the Internet with MS
Windows. (I have a dual computer MS Windows/Fedora Core 4.) Even with
a Linux live CD, I cannot connect to the Internet. My Internet
connection is done through a modem/router connected to an Ethernet
card.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance,

Paul
