No Internet connection with Linux

Dear All

Something is playing magic with my computer: I cannot access to the
Internet with Linux, although I can connect to the Internet with MS
Windows. (I have a dual computer MS Windows/Fedora Core 4.) Even with
a Linux live CD, I cannot connect to the Internet. My Internet
connection is done through a modem/router connected to an Ethernet
card.

Any advice?
