On my ISP (Optus) we frequently find that some things don't work for two common reasons: They have a crap DNS server, and you don't get name resolution. Their network breaks down, and loses connection between some things (e.g. the overseas link to wherever MSN messenger's servers are). -- Don't send private replies to my address, the mailbox is ignored.
