Folks,

Apparently, previous installs of FC1 through FC3 worked fine
with anaconda installations so it seems and not with FC4.

Anaconda does detect the Cirrus Logic GD5480 video card
but fails to detect the CM715 monitor and the end result is
the monitor has unreadable graphics information.

What steps can I take to get this working to force the monitor
to CM715 so that I can continue wtih graphics installation?

Kind regards,
Dan

Fill in the monitor characteristics by hand into /etc/X11/xorg.conf or
give system-config-display a try.

I did that. It still does not work. I know the Monitor vert/hort
parameters and entered it, but it still will not recognize it.

Note that I had to use the Fedora Rescue CD in order to modify
the xorg.conf by hand. I note that FC4 does not use the script:
'system-config-display' but instead uses a Python script. Will
it still work? I am trying this now... and will let you know
   if it will work.

I don't think that'll help. The X11 libs are broken in FC4 for Cirrus and other video cards, it has nothing to do with the configuration files.

You will need to install in text mode, then boot the machine into runlevel 3 and update the X11 packages. You should be fine after that.
