You can add "acpi=ht" in the grub configuration file. Then, the grub.conf file would be like this : kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.9-1.667 ro root=LABEL=/1 acpi=ht If your line is different, just add the "acpi=ht", mine is maybe a special one (beta version).
