Hi All I am trying to update to the latest version of hplip the HP printer interface, but it says it cannot find libjpeg. exact message from configure is:- checking for jpeg_set_defaults in -ljpeg... no configure: error: "cannot find libjpeg support" configure: error: /bin/sh './configure' failed for prnt/hpijs libjpeg is found by ls:- [laurence@athlon hplip-0.9.5]$ ls -l /usr/lib/libjpeg* lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 26 Oct 5 14:21 /usr/lib/libjpeg - > /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62.0.0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Oct 5 14:09 /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62 -> libjpeg.so.62.0.0 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 117976 Oct 7 2004 /usr/lib/libjpeg.so.62.0.0 [laurence@athlon hplip-0.9.5]$ It used to compile ok when I installed the previous version, but that will not compile now either.
