Me thinks you didn't read the man page :) Anyways:
type mail myaddress@xxxxxxxxxxxx
type your message and one a new line type a period by itself hit enter and
it will ask for CC: hit enter if you don't really care about this and it
should send it if things go well.
Note I don't know what your setup is like, so that is why I say it should
work.
